Tungsten Wedding Rings
Tungsten wedding rings are the hardest-wearing metal bands we make. Tungsten carbide sits around 9 on the Mohs scale, so the brushed or polished finish you unbox is the finish you will still have after years of keys, tools and door handles. Gold and silver pick up fine scratches within weeks; tungsten carbide does not.
It is also a heavy metal, roughly three times the weight of titanium, and most men like that: it feels like a ring is there. If you would rather not notice it, our titanium wedding rings are the lighter option.
The range runs from plain bands to inlays of Swedish meteorite, whisky barrel oak and koa wood, in 4mm, 6mm and 8mm widths, with natural grey, black, gunmetal and rose gold plated finishes, flat, bevelled, round and hammered profiles, and a comfort-fit interior on every one.
Two things to know before you buy. Tungsten carbide cannot be resized, because it will not stretch or take solder, so confirm your size first. And in an emergency it is not cut off but cracked off: a hospital or jeweller scores and fractures the band with pliers in a minute or two, which is why tungsten is safe to wear on working hands. Our guide to tungsten ring pros and cons covers scratches, weight, breakage and sizing in more depth.

Scottish & Kiwi RootsNot sure of your size?
Most of these materials cannot be resized once they are made, so it is worth getting it right first time. Choose "I don't know" on any ring and we will post you a free ring sizer first, or use our size guide, which walks you through it in a couple of minutes.
Built to be worn every day
Tungsten carbide, titanium and black zirconium are chosen for hardness, not softness. These are rings for hands that work.
Materials with a story
Meteorite formed in the core of an asteroid, oak reclaimed from whisky casks, hand-forged Damascus steel. Every ring carries a history.
Sized properly, first time
Most of these materials cannot be resized once made, so getting the size right before you order matters more here than it does elsewhere.
Questions, answered
Which width should I choose?
4mm suits slimmer fingers and anyone who prefers something understated. 6mm is the most popular choice and sits comfortably on most hands. 8mm makes a heavier, more visible statement. If you are unsure, 6mm is the safe middle ground.
What is the difference between the profiles?
Round is domed on the outside and the most traditional. Flat has straight edges and a modern, architectural look. Bevelled has angled edges that catch the light. Faceted is cut into multiple surfaces for more texture.
Can these rings be resized?
Tungsten carbide, black zirconium and titanium cannot be resized because of their hardness. It is worth confirming your size before ordering rather than after.
Are they safe for sensitive skin?
Our titanium rings are commercially pure Grade 2 titanium, and tungsten carbide and black zirconium are widely worn by people who react to conventional jewellery metals. If you have a known metal allergy, get in touch before ordering and we will confirm what the ring you are looking at is made from.
Can I have my ring engraved?
Engraving is available on rings with a metal interior. Wood and meteorite inlays that run through the inside of the band cannot be engraved. The option appears on eligible product pages.
How long will my ring take to arrive?
Most rings ship from stock with free UK delivery. The delivery estimate for each size is shown on the product page.
